Battles in Middle Earth is a blog dedicated to the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game. In my blog I will share painting and modeling progress, painting tips and suggestions, battle reports, and any other information that will help fellow gamers and hobbyists. The twist is that I will be doing all of this solo I suspect since there are limited numbers of people who play this game where I live. I hope to show how much fun you can have with the game and hobby even if it is not as popular as it once was. Because painting and gaming takes quite a bit of time to make progress on this site will not be updating regularly but I hope to have an update or two a month, if not more. I hope that the site serves an inspiration to all of you to try out these great games or to get more out of your existing collection and that you enjoy reading the site!
I have recently purchased The Hobbit: Escape From Goblin Town Starter Set and will be focusing my coverage on that for the next few weeks (and most likely months). As I get that painted and get some games in, I plan to expand to other Hobbit and LOTR scenarios as I have time.
