I’m not going to bury the lead. The “redemption arc” I worked really hard to try and turn into reality didn’t happen this year. I received a silver medal again this year which is befuddling and disheartening. The model that won the silver and was judged to be the best in my exhibit will probably … Continue reading MMSI 2026
We’re finally at the end of a deliberately long journey and I’m excited to talk about this miniature and show the final results. Lokaris has been an unusual voyage in the sense that I had an idea of what I wanted to do with it and tried it and realized straight away that I wasn’t … Continue reading Kimera Models – Lokaris Done!
This was a hard article title to decide on because I’m going to show you not one, not two, but three different things I’ve been working on. I figured a surprise title might entice readership. I wasn’t really planning on dipping into Hellboy but I’ll explain how that came about eventually. The short version is: … Continue reading Hellboy: The Board Game – Nazi Knife Fighter
I’ve been working away on Lokaris but most of what I’ve done isn’t terribly interesting so I figured we’d take the week off from it and you’ll be doubly impressed next time you see it, hopefully. I did finish another key piece of the Arkham Organizer and being the master model builder that I am, … Continue reading LaserOx – Arkham Organizer IV
Well, this week did not go as expected hobby-wise at all and I worked on a number of different things as well so this post will be a bit longer than usual. First up, I decided to give Batwoman a whirl and it didn’t go well. I talked about the size of the miniature previously … Continue reading Kimera Models – Lokaris VIII
Its not every week I get to show off a completed box of Fallout minis and I also have an interesting new acquisition to discuss as well. This week I worked on the final member of Vault Security and I had one goal, try and get the armor looking more like it does in-game. I … Continue reading Fallout Wasteland Warfare – Vault Security Done
At the time of writing, Fallout Wasteland Warfare: Second Edition is slated for release later this year. The upcoming release has propelled me to check out as many of the “First Edition” supplements as I can grab before they go out of print because I really enjoy the first iteration of the game. Since the … Continue reading Fallout Wasteland Warfare: Commonwealth Expansion Review
Sorry for the interruption in the regular weekly updates last week. I was working on Lokaris and just didn’t have anything interesting to show off so I figured it best to wait. Between Daylight Savings, work being exhausting and exasperating, and multiple things breaking in my condo this week, its been a pretty miserable week. … Continue reading Kimera Models – Lokaris III + Thoughts on Fallout: Second Edition
This is going to be a longer than usual post because there are a lot of hobby happenings this week. The good news is that there are a lot of different topics to cover so I can keep things moving and touch upon a wide variety of topics along the way. Early in the week, … Continue reading Hellboy: The Board Game – Nazi Knife Fighter I
This week I turned my attention back to the Empire State Building and made some decent progress on it. I decided to work on the thinner sides of the building as they’re exactly the same which makes it easy to keep them consistent. Working on this building remains a technical challenge. I make tons of … Continue reading Monsterpocalypse – Imperial State Building II
