Warhammer AoS – Fully Assembled!

  1. Dude, that is an incredible paintjob! The armour is absolutely beautiful, the deep reds of the cloak are gorgeous and and everything else is totally spot on. The base is simple but effective, and really makes the figure the centre of attention. Excellent, excellent work.

Good to know you’re feeling better! ERs are fun places aren’t they? LOL!

    1. Thanks, Matt! There isn’t too far to go but what is left to do should take it up another notch or two or at least I’m hoping so 🙂

I think the question is, which one is more fun, the ER or that dumpster behind your work? They’re both pretty exciting places in their own right haha!

  2. Oh! Hope you continue to feel better, sooner and that the medication allows you to even slowly expand what you can eat. That’s a long wait to see the specialist – hope you’re able to get any tests etc done in advance so it’s not just an appointment where they send you to get a ton of tests and come back in a couple more weeks! :/
The finished Fallout models look great – any particular plans on what’s next from that pile?
The Judicator is looking spectacular. You mentioned some smaller competitions you were thinking of entering – when are they starting to come up? I’d imagine you’re in for a solid shot with this (or your other finished minis that you took to GD – you’d be allowed to enter those as well, don’t forget!)

    1. I think this kind of doctor is hard to get right now where I live or that is what I’m finding. Unfortunately, the appointment will probably just kick off a test or two so it won’t solve all my problems straight away. At least it should give me an idea of what’s going on and its with a really good doctor that I have some familiarity with so that part is encouraging.

I prepped a number of Fallout minis and I have a lot to paint so I wouldn’t be surprised if I pick one or two out and paint them. I will definitely get back to working on terrain too. I promised myself I wouldn’t play again until I get some more terrain done and I’ve held myself to that thus far.

The next competition is in Oct. sometime and I probably will go, just to see what its like and if its something I find more rewarding than GD. The scale of minis that you and I paint aren’t popular there (though there are definitely some) and I think the people who participate skew older too so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

  3. Glad you’re feeling better and hope you get some answers soon. Mystery pains are never fun. Glad you’re getting some painting time in!
The model is looking great, very cool to see it fully assembled!

    1. Thanks, Nic! It hasn’t been the greatest of weeks but hopefully things are looking up. I thought showing the current progress on the mini might be a bit boring this week but looking back, I think what I accomplished was more interesting than I had anticipated. I’m excited to get to work on the base soon and put the finishing touches on this project.

  4. Glad to hear you’re feeling a little better in yourself but let’s hope everything can get sorted out soon. 🙂 ER visits are certainly no fun! The Judicator is coming along very nicely and really does look excellent and it’s nice you could add those finishing touches to the Fallout minis.

  5. Having spent many hours in the ER over the years, it’s an eye opener, the receptionist used to joke that my chair was ready for me, as if I had my own personal one, as I was there so often ! LOL Hope you can get a quick diagnosis, and be back to full health in no time, long term illnesses are no joke.
The Judicator, is really starting to come together, and not much to go now, before the finish line. The additional weathering on the Fallout mini’s looks great, and would be good to see you paint some more of them soon.

    1. That is very well said, Dave! The miniature should be done in a few days and then I can turn my attention towards the base which I look forward to working on. I’m also looking forward to a bit more Fallout. Its been a little while and I need to get back to making some progress on it if I ever want to get another game in!

  6. Best wishes on your medical condition. I hope it won’t get more serious and the worst is behind you. ER visits are never fun.
Good use of time off work though; and the miniature really is looking great. 😀

    1. Thank you and I hope things stay stable too. The extra time off certainly didn’t go amiss 🙂 I wouldn’t mind another day or two off, I’d get this mini done in no time then!

  7. Sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly mate! Hopefully the specialist can nail down the issue quickly.

Your Knight-Judicatory is looking awesome but no surprise there. Also no surprise is my love for your Minutemen. I am sure they have a settlement in need to help they to attend to.

    1. The change in my health has been a surprise to me. I didn’t see it coming and I certainly didn’t see an ER visit coming either. I’ve got my fingers crossed as well.

Thanks for the kind words on the Knight-Judicator and I hope you will enjoy seeing some Fallout things once I wrap this project up. Its been a bit too long since I’ve worked on anything Fallout, if I’m honest.

  8. Excellent work on your Judicator. Your hard work is being rewarded. Hopefully that follows with the judges when that time comes. The Fallout dudes are cool too. As for your health, best wishes and I too well understand what you’ve gone through. Better days ahead I’m sure!

    1. Thank you, Mark and I hope so too. This project has certainly taken longer than I expected though that is frequently the case. Thanks for the kind words and I hope to make a speedy recovery as soon as I can. Whatever is wrong with me is no fun!

  9. Looks good! Still trying to figure out the hook on the bow string though. Not fair showing two different Fallout minis between the blog and Instagram though.

    1. Thanks, Bret! The hooks are for style points, I’d say and certainly not function. I wanted to keep the miniatures I showed on Instagram “themed”. I also wanted to try and reset the algorithm before I post the final pictures one of these days. Hopefully that will get the final miniature some exposure as most of what I’ve posted in the last month is getting very little eyes or likes on it.

  10. Goldy is looking really awesome and I like the colors you chose for the wood on the bow. The gold metal on that mini is just amazing so far, your hard work is really paying off. The Fallout minis are looking good too!
Oh, ER. Such a fun place to sit around for hours when you’re in pain (sarcasm!)! I do hope the upcoming visits reveal what’s going on. 37 is too young, man! You’ve got at least another 40 years to go…to catch up with me, haha!

    1. Thanks, Brian! I’m really glad you like how its shaping up. I have a bit of a twist or surprise left so I’m curious to see what people think of it. There isn’t too long to go now…

The ER is certainly best avoided and if you’re 77 then you paint very well for your age 😉

      1. Yea, I’m really liking this one. I think it’s showing off your metal work really well!
If you like how I paint now, you should have seen me at age 7!! 😂
