Whether you’re a fan of Fallout and have never played a miniatures game or you’re an experienced wargamer who is considering jumping into this game, its natural to have some questions before you decide to spend money and time on a new game. My aim is to give you an overview of Fallout Wasteland Warfare … Continue reading Should You Start Playing Fallout Wasteland Warfare?
Let’s get the unpleasant news out of the way first. Not too long ago I mentioned the threat of layoffs and well, they happened pretty much out of nowhere this week. I was lucky to not be affected by them but the whole experience was pretty jarring to say the least. The company I work … Continue reading Hellboy – Roger Returns and More Website Metrics
Its good to be back after taking a week off. There’s plenty to talk about so I won’t waste any time. The first thing I got done was another caveman. Like the previous two, these minis don’t take long at all to paint so it was nice to get another done quick. I showed off … Continue reading Savage Core and Hellboy – Neanderthals and a Homunculus
This week was a slow one for me hobby-wise, especially in terms of motivation but even with that, I managed to finish a couple of things. While I was initially motivated to work on the failed Overpass terrain project, outside of that, I’ve been dragging a bit on painting Fallout miniatures. I think the combination … Continue reading Fallout – Assaultron and Some Terrain
It has been an eventful week so I’m going to bring back the rapid and random thoughts format for today’s update. I have not worked for over a week. Why you ask? I spilled water on my laptop on Thursday last week and my company has not been able to get me a replacement and … Continue reading Hellboy – Professor Broom and His Bane
There is a lot to discuss this week so I won’t waste any time. I managed to finish some more doors for Hellboy today. These haven’t been varnished so they look a little more matte than they will when all is said and done but I’m happy to have eight out of fifteen doors done … Continue reading Hellboy and Fallout – Manual Labor
Who is the greatest superhero ever? Its not Superman or Batman. Its not Spider-man or Wolverine. The real answer is Lobster Johnson. Who is Lobster Johnson, you ask? He is a secondary character from Hellboy that is so good, he got his own series of comic books. Lobster is very similar to The Shadow, for … Continue reading Hellboy – Fear the claw!
While it was frequently delayed (not unlike Gandalf in the books now that I think about it), I was able to wrap up the diorama this week. With creative works, I think you can be too close to what you make and start to lose perspective on it. With this one, I probably have been … Continue reading MESBG – The Bounder’s Duty Diorama
Stop me if you’ve heard this before. I make some progress on the diorama only to not have some kind of supply that I need and then have to take the week off from it while I wait to get said item. That is exactly what happened again this week so I don’t have anything … Continue reading Hellboy – Doors to Somewhere?
I’m happy to report that this past week was much better. I got some forward momentum on the diorama and have a few things to show off. First up, I finally got to put my green stuff and tools to work and patched up this little guy. Can you see any rough spots or where … Continue reading MESBG – A Shirriff joins the fray
