It has been a fairly mundane week of painting for me but I did manage to get a few things done that are not necessarily fun to paint but good to get done. First up, I got another objective marker done for Fallout. If you’ve followed my painting progress for a while, then you probably … Continue reading Fallout – Nuke That Thirst!
I was able to get myself out of the painting funk this week by tackling a surprisingly fun mini. If you’ve ever played Fallout, you probably know a bit about the Protectrons that patrol buildings in the post-apocalypse wasteland. In some places you can hack computer terminals and flip the security robots on and they’ll … Continue reading Fallout – Under Protectron
As I mentioned last week, I only had one more thing I needed to get done to have Hellboy: The Board Game in a playable state and that was more frogs. I worked on another batch of four frogs and I now have 12 of the 20 in the box done. I’m pretty sure 12 … Continue reading Hellboy: A Plague of Frogs
While this week has been a slog in pretty much every facet of my life, I do have a few finished things to show off. First up is Abe’s marker for Hellboy: The Board Game. I wanted to get this done before I forgot how I painted the mini and to my surprise, the marker … Continue reading Hellboy – Abe Sapien One More Time
*A quick programming note. I wrote this over a month ago and let it sit until I felt guilty about not publishing it so here it finally is. If you aren’t interested in Arkham Horror, feel free to skip this as the usual weekly update is coming soon.* I’ve noticed that there seems to be … Continue reading Arkham Horror: The Card Game Return to the Night of Zealot Review
I’m back! Where was I, you ask? I was lucky enough to have a week long vacation in Arizona with my Dad and brother which was my first time traveling since before the pandemic. I haven’t had time to go through all of my photos but I do have a few I can share. We … Continue reading Fallout Shipping Container and Savage Core Neanderthal
I have a pretty quick update this week as I only managed to finish one mini. For those not familiar with Hellboy, it is Abe Sapien, a man from the 1600’s who got turned into a fish man who has been alive ever since. Abe’s design reminds me a bit of Swamp Thing of Universal … Continue reading Hellboy – Abraham Sapien
It has been relaxing and nice to get back to lower stakes painting this past week as I had hoped. It doesn’t feel like I accomplished a ton but I wanted to paint my Hellboy bust as nicely as I could since the sculpt has some pretty nice detail. Here is a look at the … Continue reading Hellboy: The Return of Red
It took several months and a bit longer than I expected and hoped but the Stormcast display piece is finally done. I’m very happy with how he turned out and I didn’t have any issues in the final phases of the mini so I’ll just share some pictures and talk a bit about my inspiration … Continue reading Warhammer AoS – Bastian Carthalos is Complete!
There is a light at the end of this display painting tunnel! I have mostly finished the actual Stormcast mini and can turn my attention to the base very soon. Here is a look at it. First off, I have to credit and thank a painting friend of mine. I was stumped for what color … Continue reading Warhammer AoS – The Penultimate Update
