Its a special double-stuffed update this week as I’ve had two weeks of painting saved up. It was kind of hard to pick a title since I worked on two different projects. Let’s start with Hellboy though and say our farewell to the frogs. I finished the last four frogs in the box. I tried … Continue reading Hellboy – The Frogs’ Last Croak
With Eomer done, I was looking for something to paint that was a “quick win” as people like to say in the business world. I wanted to paint more frogs for Hellboy but I didn’t have the paint I needed, so instead I chose to paint my second and final Protectron from the Protectron and … Continue reading Fallout: Double Protectron
I was able to finish up the Eomer display project and I’m very happy to be sharing the results. I think it is one of my best minis yet and it came together in less than a month’s time which is pretty darn good for a display piece. I have more to say about the … Continue reading MESBG – Eomer – Rohan’s Guardian
I was really close to getting Eomer done last weekend but ultimately was slowed down by needing one paint to finish him and having to order it online. I figured it would be better to just wait and show the finished mini instead of one that is 95% done so I pushed back this update … Continue reading MESBG – Eomer Mini Finished
It has certainly been nice to have a week off work and while the week has not gone the way I would have planned it, I did enjoy doing a bit of gaming and painting. I continued work on Eomer for my LOTR display project and I’m really happy with how he is looking. I’m … Continue reading Middle Earth SBG – Muster the Rohirrim!
Another week, another Fallout-based pun. Fortunately, I have regained hobby momentum this week and so I have more to share than in the last couple of weeks. I had some time to fill so I started another Fallout mini. For whatever reason, its hard to find decent pictures of Assaultrons in Fallout 4. I could … Continue reading Fallout – Assaultron and Battery
It took several months and a bit longer than I expected and hoped but the Stormcast display piece is finally done. I’m very happy with how he turned out and I didn’t have any issues in the final phases of the mini so I’ll just share some pictures and talk a bit about my inspiration … Continue reading Warhammer AoS – Bastian Carthalos is Complete!
There is a light at the end of this display painting tunnel! I have mostly finished the actual Stormcast mini and can turn my attention to the base very soon. Here is a look at it. First off, I have to credit and thank a painting friend of mine. I was stumped for what color … Continue reading Warhammer AoS – The Penultimate Update
I figure the best way to start is to get the bad news out of the way first. I will not be able to enter in GD this year for a humbling reason. I did not pay close enough attention to what I needed to do before Adepticon and I missed the registration period. While … Continue reading No Golden Demon This Year
After taking a week off, I have a lot to share. So much so that I’m going to have a little Table of Contents to make it easy to find what you want to read and skip what you want. Here’s a look at what’s on tap for this update: Painting Progress Review of Hawkeye … Continue reading Warhammer AoS – Running out of Time
