Progress on the diorama continues but not as fast or smoothly I would like. I managed to get the base sculpted, sanded, and ready for the next steps which is to be frank, one of the less exciting parts of the process so that’s good. I’ve also been chipping away at the remaining minis that … Continue reading MESBG – Hobbit-sized sculpts can cause headaches
Its a special double-stuffed update this week as I’ve had two weeks of painting saved up. It was kind of hard to pick a title since I worked on two different projects. Let’s start with Hellboy though and say our farewell to the frogs. I finished the last four frogs in the box. I tried … Continue reading Hellboy – The Frogs’ Last Croak
After a tough week, hobbying has been a welcome and necessary escape for me. As I waited for more things for the diorama to arrive, I decided to focus on something that I started painting and never got very far with. I think it was meant to be done between a display project and something … Continue reading Fallout – Raiders of the Lost Vault
With Eomer done, I was looking for something to paint that was a “quick win” as people like to say in the business world. I wanted to paint more frogs for Hellboy but I didn’t have the paint I needed, so instead I chose to paint my second and final Protectron from the Protectron and … Continue reading Fallout: Double Protectron
It has certainly been nice to have a week off work and while the week has not gone the way I would have planned it, I did enjoy doing a bit of gaming and painting. I continued work on Eomer for my LOTR display project and I’m really happy with how he is looking. I’m … Continue reading Middle Earth SBG – Muster the Rohirrim!
Another week, another Fallout-based pun. Fortunately, I have regained hobby momentum this week and so I have more to share than in the last couple of weeks. I had some time to fill so I started another Fallout mini. For whatever reason, its hard to find decent pictures of Assaultrons in Fallout 4. I could … Continue reading Fallout – Assaultron and Battery
As I mentioned last week or maybe the week before, I’ve been in a bit of a hobby slump because I mostly have gaming stuff to paint but I can’t play anything right now so my motivation is running low. I’ve been trying to find a folding gaming table and still not having much luck. … Continue reading Savage Core: The Neanderthals’ Return
It has been a fairly mundane week of painting for me but I did manage to get a few things done that are not necessarily fun to paint but good to get done. First up, I got another objective marker done for Fallout. If you’ve followed my painting progress for a while, then you probably … Continue reading Fallout – Nuke That Thirst!
As I mentioned last week, I only had one more thing I needed to get done to have Hellboy: The Board Game in a playable state and that was more frogs. I worked on another batch of four frogs and I now have 12 of the 20 in the box done. I’m pretty sure 12 … Continue reading Hellboy: A Plague of Frogs
I’m back! Where was I, you ask? I was lucky enough to have a week long vacation in Arizona with my Dad and brother which was my first time traveling since before the pandemic. I haven’t had time to go through all of my photos but I do have a few I can share. We … Continue reading Fallout Shipping Container and Savage Core Neanderthal
