I can’t explain it but I do really love painting minis in the fantasy genre. I don’t necessarily read tons of fantasy books but if you give me a high quality sculpt of an elf or dwarf, I’ll probably enjoy painting it more often than not. Today’s post is unusual because I have two things … Continue reading The Joys of Painting Fantasy Minis
It sounds like the start of an exciting battle report but I have plenty of finished work to show off instead. No more hobby navel gazing from me for a while as well. I appreciate all of the support and advice you all have shared in the last couple months as I’ve been charting a … Continue reading Super Mutants, Survivors, and a Campsite
I’m going to break my “rules” and show an actual WIP this week. As I think I’ve mentioned before, I need to stop varnishing one or two figures a week as it isn’t efficient. I like showing you only finished work but I hope that seeing minis twice isn’t too much of a bother. In … Continue reading Codsworth and Some Serious MESBG Musings
As promised a while back, I do have some MESBG content to share for the first time in a little while. I realized recently that I only had a couple of ruffians left to paint before I hit the magic number of 12 which is what you need for most Scouring of the Shire scenarios … Continue reading Saruman’s Dirty Dozen
In a bid to cover up the fact that I only have a single model that I’ve worked on this week and it isn’t quite done yet, I thought I’d share a bit more of my hobby history as well as share some things that helped me become a better painter along the way. Since … Continue reading My Painting/Gaming Journey Thus Far
While the model count may be low, I have a pretty action-packed update this week that I’m excited to share. I think it is fair to say that I’m finally figuring out how to paint the Fallout minis to the best of my abilities and each one I finish is becoming more rewarding. I am … Continue reading Growing Confidence in the Wasteland
As promised, I have some resin Fallout minis to show off and compared to many weekly updates, I feel like I have a lot of minis to show off. So let’s waste no further time and jump into it. First up, I added some rust to the plastic Enslaved Tech and finished it off with … Continue reading Resin versus Plastic in Fallout Wasteland Warfare
With the quarantine in full effect and Games Workshop closed, I’ve mostly been focusing my hobby efforts on Fallout Wasteland Warfare. I am only going to show part of what I have painted up this week because most of the rest of it, is not quite finished yet and will look more impressive once they … Continue reading Welcome to the Wasteland
Another eventful week for me and I have something I’m excited to show off so I won’t waste any time. While I thought I’d have tons of terrain to share, I’m not quite done with another batch of trees so those will make an appearance next week. I had a terrain setback when I had … Continue reading The Lady of the Golden Wood
As the title suggests, I have been hard at work at Shire terrain this week and I have a little bit to show off. I am working on getting trees ready for the Maggot’s Farm scenario and while the first one has not gone quite according to plan, I think it looks reasonably good now. … Continue reading A Worm Among Shire Terrain
